Our Internship Program offers students real business exposure within the various departments of Madison Square Garden. Our guidelines for the Internship Program are as follows:

  • Students must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school. Undergraduate Junior and Senior year students are preferred. Qualified Sophomores can be considered.
  • Students must be eligible to earn credit through the college/university they are currently attending by submitting a letter of credit eligibility from their Academic Advisor indicating how many credits they will earn.
  • Students will receive $25.00 per day stipend to offset any expenses they may incur (e.g. travel, meals, etc.).
  • As internship positions vary at Madison Square Garden, students should be aware that positions require between 25 and 40 hours per week. The schedule of our internships is as follows (application deadlines are flexible):
  • Spring: Deadline: First Week of November
    Term: January – May
  • Summer Deadline: First Week of March
    Term: June – August
  • Fall: Deadline: First Week of June

Red Bull New York is looking for a motivated and organized college student with a strong Portuguese language background for this internship. This is a fantastic opportunity for those candidates who are interested in breaking into the sports and/or language field. Working hours during the week are flexible. Candidates may be required to work all Red Bulls regular season and playoff (if applicable) home games. College credit for this position is required.

Game Day Operations Internship

The Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League are seeking highly motivated college-level students striving to gain operations / marketing experience and position themselves for a career in the Sports Industry upon graduation. This internship will provide much opportunity for creativity and growth, but will require hard work, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness, especially on game days. The position runs from the first week in February through the last week in August and its primary focus will be in the Operations Department, specifically in the setup and implementation of game day production and other events.

The Game Operations intern will receive at least 180 hours of work with the Soul, with approximately 100 of those hours being fulfilled on game day and the remaining hours being fulfilled through scheduled times in the Soul front offices.

Duties:

• Game Day Interns are not paid; you must receive college credit for the internship.
• Game Day Interns are required to work every home game for the Soul.
• Game Day Interns must have reliable transportation to the Soul offices, Wells Fargo Center, and any other events where attendance is mandatory.
• Game Day Interns must act in a professional and responsible manner at all times during Soul hours. They must also always be prompt in arriving at the arena at scheduled times on game day. All Game Day Interns will be required to sign an Intern Rules of Conduct contract with the Soul.
• Game Day Interns will help in the setup of game day events and production. Each game, the intern will have a different responsibility relating to the game operation in the following areas (credential distribution, halftime acts, pre-game elements, promotion team coordination, assisting in game community relations initiatives, assisting with promotional giveaways, etc.)
• Game Day interns will be provided a Soul polo shirt to wear at games and will be provided with a meal during the day of the game.
